New worlds. Untapped potential. I love the fresh start of a “Create New Character” screen, and RPGs are my virtual comfort food.

Customizable player characters.  Different species, special abilities, class selection, etc. I can’t get enough.

Branching narratives and competing factions.  What should I do?  Who should I listen to?  Which side is “right?”  Meeting and recruiting new NPCs.  Let’s team up and explore the world/galaxy.  Take on the bad guys.  Save the day.

Or… don’t.

Golden path? Side quests? I’m in. Let’s check behind that waterfall first, then we can fight the dragon. Barks? LET’S DO IT!  WHY NOT?!  I CAN’T SEE ANY WAY AROUND IT!

Lore books?  Item Descriptions?  Keep them coming!  They’re a great way to add depth and history to a new world.
